Belfast Pride

On 5th August 2017, thousands of people took to the streets to celebrate the largest Belfast Pride Parade ever seen. Amongst the marchers was a loud and proud student bloc led by NUS-USI and joined by members of USI and NUS UK. After the march NUS-USI LGBT Officer Conor Loughran, and Ulster University student Naomi Marshall were given the opportunity to address the crowd at Custom House Square to talk about the student movement’s commitment to the fighting for the rights of all LGBT people across Northern Ireland and beyond.
